Mission
The Latinx Law Student Association (LLSA) fosters an academic, professional, and social support
network to help students adjust to the rigors of law school. Our diverse membership includes
people from all parts of Latin America, the Iberian Peninsula, and the United States. Our group aims to be apart

LLSA offers programs that focus on professional and academic development, such as mock
interviews and mentoring. We also bring in speakers to discuss legal issues affecting Latin(x)
communities in the U.S. and abroad. LLSA keeps our members abreast of diversity scholarships,
Latin(x)-centered events around campus, and potential employment opportunities. We endeavor
to share the incredible diversity of Latin(x) cultures with The University of Chicago Law School at
large.

LLSA social events are an important part of how we create our community. We host alumni
mixers, potluck dinners, salsa dancing outings, museum visits, and much more. These events aim
to help build community and familiarity amongst Latin(x) and non-Latin(x) friends and classmates.
We are proud to say that LLSA is one of the most active and inclusive minority organizations at
the Law School.
