About Us

The Latinx Law Students Association aims to create an academic and social support network to help students adjust to the rigors of law school. Our diverse membership includes people from all parts of Latin America, the Iberian Peninsula, and the United States.

LLSA offers programs that focus on professional and academic development, such as mock interviews and mentoring. We also bring in speakers to discuss legal issues affecting Latinx communities in the U.S. and abroad. LLSA keeps our members abreast of diversity scholarships, Latinx-centered events around campus, and potential employment opportunities. We endeavor to share the incredible diversity of Latinxs cultures with the University of Chicago Law School at large.

LLSA social events are an important part of how we create our community. We host alumni mixers, potluck dinners, salsa dancing outings, museum visits, and much more. These events aim to help build community and familiarity amongst Latinx and non-Latinx friends and classmates. We are proud to say that LLSA is one of the most active and inclusive minority organizations Law School.
